During your Rehabilitation at one of our facilities, clinics or therapy departments improving your quality of life is the main focus. We love to hear from our residents, families, guests or friends about our staff and care. We encourage you to communicate with us as well as invite you to read what people have had to say...
Thank you to all for the loving care you gave my "Honey" while she was here. This will be the first Christmas after 18 years that Dorothy will not be with me to celebrate the birthday of Jesus. I know that up in Heaven she will be celebrating with our family and friends who have gone on before. But best of all our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be there in person to join in the celebration of his own birthday. Wouldn't we all like to be there to be a part of this celebration.
I Love You All, Jim White
Hello! My name is Mabel Bolton and I chose to make Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center my home about a year ago. I enjoy living at MNRC because the help here is so good and they keep the place so nice and clean. I have a very nice room that is comfy and cozy and I call home. They also have very good entertainment and food. I love my weekly trip to the beauty shop. Aime, the beautician is so nice and does a fantastic job styling hair. I also like that the beauty shop is so conveniently located within the facility. I am very pleased with my life here and happy to be part of the MNRC family.
Thank you, Mabel Bolton (Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center)
Friends and Staff - I can't say enough about the care and loving atmosphere that we felt at your facility. Even though things weren't perfect in her mind I believe she was content and enjoyed the friendship of all of you and her family felt her care was very good and done with loving kindness. Thank you all for making the last two years of her life more comfortable. Also, thank you for the stone marker you gave in her memory.
Georgia Schleeper, Daughter of Margaret Ringhausen (Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center)
Hello! My name is Thelma Whitlock. I have enjoyed living at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for 6 1/2 years with my sister Wilma. My sister passed on in July and based on past experience, the tender loving care I received, friendship, and the good food, I remain at MNRC. I enjoy a cup of coffee and fellowship with Cindi every morning. I am blessed with her friendship and loving care. She s a friend indeed to me. Cindi and her staff keep the residents busy. I enjoy the worship services, music, singing, crafts, baking, and visiting. As I continue to make MNRC my home I am thankful for the blessings of the Lord and the fellowship with my MNRC family. Thank You Thelma Whitlock (Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center)
I want to thank all of you for the beautiful stone. I will always think of Coop when I look at it and also the above and beyond care and concern he received at your nursing home. I fully realized how much you cared when I was making plans to find a home in St. Louis near our home. He stopped me and let me know on no uncertain terms that he didn't want to leave where he was. That spoke volumes for me. Thank You, George Ann Cooper (Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - Jerseyville, Illinois)
Jerseyville Nursing & Staff, The family would to thank everyone for all your care you gave Dad. Also in his last 2 nights a special thank you to Linda, Kim, & Brandy. You guys couldn't have done anymore. We would like to thank you for the nice gift. Thank You, The Ed Fitzgibbons Family (Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - Jerseyville, Illinois)
Dear Family & Friends, We wish to thank you for your many prayers and gifts of kindness. Mom thought so much of all of you. We take comfort in knowing Mom is now at peace with our loving God. Her spirit and love for life will live on in all of us. To sum up our feelings for our mom, "She was the beat." Thanks Again, The Mary Busch Family (Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - Jerseyville, Illinois)
To everyone that took care of my Dad "Bliss", thank you. For showing him your "smiles" I know he needs to see that! Thanks for caring for him, not just physically but also from your hearts. I miss my Dad, you know with Alzheimers a part of him is gone, I just wish he'd come back. He is a blessing in my life and thank you for taking good care of the "jokester"! Thank you for being kind to me on the phone when I have lost it and for your support and listening to me, that's important! It looks like you run a good ship - thank you very much.
- Donna Roper (Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - Hillsboro, Illinois)
Words cannot express our sincere appreciation and gratitude for the care and kindness given to Don while he was at Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Our sincere thanks goes out to the wonderful nurses, nurse aides and the administration. Our special thank you to physical therapy who went above and beyond what was required.
We also want to express our thanks to the other departments who are so often overlooked. These include housekeeping, maintenance and the wonderful people who work in the kitchen preparing all the meals. You all are truly a blessing. Matthew 25:40 - And the King will reply to them, Truly I tell you, in so far as you did it for one of the least of these My Brethren, you did it for me.
- The Family of Donald E. Beeler (Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - Hillsboro, Illinois)
Thank you so much for the compassionate care that you provided our Mother and the kindness you extended to all of her family. We truly appreciated the beautiful Angel that you sent.
- Mike & Connie Montgomery & Cheryl McAllister (Westwood Hills Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center - Poplar Bluff, Missouri)
Thank you for the while praying Angel. It is so pretty. We especially thank you for the care and kindness and love you showed Mom. Thank you also for the snack package and balloon you brought her while she was in the hospital. Everyone at Westwood HIlls has been so wonderful!
- Sonnie & James Ross (Westwood Hills Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center - Poplar Bluff, Missouri)
We wish to thank you so much for the beautiful Ivy plant that you sent to Dad's funeral. It was very thoughtful of you and we really appreciate it. We had a beautiful day... it had rained the night before, but as theservice started, the sun broke through and teh temperature was 60 degrees. We had a 21 gun salute, taps were played and the flag was presented to Allen. It was all very moving. We were also surprised to see all of our relatives who traveled from so far away. Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Florida, Texas and Virginia... Dad would have been proud and I know he was looking down on us.
Thanks to all who helped to care for Dad during his last years. We don't know what we would have done without you.
- Allen & Cindy Horak (Westwood Hills Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center - Poplar Bluff, Missouri)
My mother lives at Jerseyville Nursing & Rehab. She has decided that Jenny (Social Worker) is as close to a daughter, as I am. She said if she had ever had another daughter, she would pick Jenny. She is the dearest friend that my Mother and I could have. There has never been a question or problem that Jenny hasn't personally attended too, for my Mom. She is so thoughtful and caring. It's never easy to have your parent in a Nursing Home; however, whenever the staffi is as kind as Jenny ahs always been, it's more than a blessing.
- Billie Laubscher (Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - Jerseyville, Illinois)
We really appreciate the staff's getting our mother up so that she could attend the band concert last evening. Seeing her toe-tapping, clapping, smiling, and singing along (yes, she know the workds to the hymns) was more special to us than you will ever know.
Thank You, Alma Stolz's Family (Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - Jerseyville, Illinois)
I am writing to tell you of my experience at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab. I arrived at the facility aftere a week-long stay in St. Francis Hospital following serious injuries to both of my knees. My injuries were such that I was unable to walk, so I was very apprehensive about living in a nursing home. I was very pleasantly surprised and reassured when Carla the Administrator and Tammy of Social Service greeted me that evening as I was brought in by ambulance. This impressed me because it was well after 5 p.m. when I arrived.
The remainder of my stay was equally impressive. In the beginning the Physical Therapy staff provided me with a specialized wheel chair that kept my legs straight, as I was not allowed to bend them according to my doctor. The therapists worked with me diligently on specific exercises as they were allowed by the doctor. As I was allowed to have more range of motion, the therapists worked with me on strengthening, and when I was released after eight weeks, I was well prepared to go home with the use of one leg and a walker. I commend Kelly, Jen, Kacy, Grizzle, Julie, Teresa and the therapy department for their efforts in preparing me to live at home again. They truly care about the patients in their care.
I also want to commend the Nurses & CNA staff for their compassionate care. I have visited family members at other nursing homes from time to time and I have been disappointed in the attitude of staff. But, this is not the case at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab. The Nurses and CNA's foster an attitude of caring and compassion, treating each patient as an individual and as a real person. I noticed that the CNA staff who mentor new CNA students train them and pass on this culture of compassion. I don't know if this is purposely taught by the instructor, or if it is an inherent culture at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab, but it is truly a great asset to the facility.
The day-to-day care provided by the Nurses & CNAs staff is filled iwth grueling and unpleasant tasks, but they keep a cheerful attitude through it all. I recommend MNRC to a friend of mine whose mother needed a facility and she is also pleased with the care she has received.
I hope that the staff at MNRC are recognized for their patience and caring attitude. My stay at MNRC was truly pleasant, and I will never forget the compassion of those who made it a good experience. When I am able to walk on both legs I plan to come for a visit to thank them in person!
Sincerely, Theresa Wasylenko (Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - Hillsboro, Illinois)
Thank you all for the special care that you gave to my father. Sherrie (Director of Nursing) and Georgia (Assistant Director of Nursing) were very attentive, and made me feel really good about the care that Dad was receiving. Linda Sills (Social Services) was the glue that made everything come together. I really appreciate the diligence and attention to detail displayed by Dorise, LPN. I can’t recall anything that I asked her to do for my Dad that she did not complete and do so in a timely manner. And I always marvel at how lovingly Frances, C.N.A., deals with each of her residents. There are far too many wonderful people working there for me to name them all. But the nurses and aides on the 100 hall are the best! They are always smiling and willing to help with most any situation. My only regret is that we didn’t bring Dad to The Pillars of North County sooner. Thanks again for doing what you do the way you do it.
Bernice Herbert (The Pillars of North County Health & Rehabilitation Center – Florissant, MO)
Thank you for the cherub arrangement. Most importantly, thank you - everyone - for the care and kindness you gave to our mother. Thank you for being there for us with answers, advice, and concern. We appreciate your work, dedication, and kindness.
Bob & Penny Baker (Westwood Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center)
My Mother, Ada is a resident at your facility. She has been there less than a month, and since I live in Missouri, I am unable to visit more than once a month, usually. I was up to see my Mother this past weekend and I wanted to tell you about my impressions.
First let me say that I have been a RN for 35 years. Many of you may remember Passavant School of Nursing in Jacksonville, Illinois and I graduated form there in May of 1974. I have since worked many places including a brief stint here or there in elder care facilities. I know good nursing care, and I know bad nursing care.
I want you to know that I have NEVER seen my Mother happier than she was this past weekend. She was talkative, beautifully groomed, and full of praises for the care she is receiving. She is very impressed with your food buffet and while she may not eat much now, she has always been a good eater. She needed food for energy to do more work!
My Mother has had a very hard life, working many long hours with little or no recognition of all of her work. While she enjoyed some happy times, certainly, I know that a large part of her life has not been happy. And since my Dad died about 2 1/2 years ago, she has been especially lonely. They may have had their differences, but after spending 67 years together she was bound to be at a loss. The most important thing for her children is that our Mom be comfortable and happy for this last phase of her long, very hard life. We are absolutely delighted to see her smiling, in fact even giggling at times, talking constantly, and regaling us of all her many and varied activities. She seems to have made the acquaintance of many of the other residents, and enjoys learning about everyone's life story. She has the schedule of activities on the wall just inside her door at wheelchair height and I do believe she tries to be at all of them. Of course she still finds time to watch her favorite TV show, "Wheel of Fortune."
Speaking for my entire family, I would like to thank you, each of you, for caring so wonderfully for our Mom. Obviously, she is precious to us and we love her very much. She absolutely refused to move into any of our homes, and we are delighted that she is so happy. You have made a wonderful home away from home for her, and we thank you in advance for the many hours of loving care you will be giving to her. At last, at the age of 90, my Mom is able to truly be retired and happily. For the first time in her entire life, she isn't taking care of someone else.
Please continue to be kind and loving to her. I know some days are better than others, and I truly do understand that try as you might, you will still have "off" days. Nursing is just that way. But please overlook her little indiosyncrasies as much as possible and help her enjoy this time of her life. I beg you to be gentle in your handling of her. She loves people and will try to do the best she can. She has been a caregiver all of her life and she understands how difficult it can be. Just be clear in what you want from her and she'll try her hardest. She is, for the most part, very aware and very sharp, especially for 90.
God Bless each and every one of you that cares for her. I have prayed for this type of situation for her and I know that God brought us to you. I am already thanking Him daily for all of you. Thank you so very much.
Sincerely, Lavada Belchik (Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - Jerseyville, Illinois)
To all of you, each and everyone of you have a special place in my heart. It takes special people like yourselves to help ease the long journey we had. You are truly gifted to of been chosen as "Gods Angels" for this job well done. I don't know how to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for your thoughts, prayers, gifts of kindness and all the care you gave Sloke, during our long journey. You have touched my heart and helped give me strength thru my difficult time. I am so blessed to have met each and everyone of you and feel we have become extended family. I will never forget you, thinking of you always!
May God Bless,Connie & Family (Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center)
My family could not thank you and your staff enough for the care you are giving to our mother. We are very pleased with what we have experienced so far. It means the world to us she receives the best possible care while going through this tough time with her health. Please feel free to contact me or my sister at any time with any concerns.
Best regards, Kelly Newby and Tonya Green (The Pillars of North County Health & Rehabilitation Center – Florissant, MO)
On behalf of Elnora Bush, I would like to take this opportunity to give a 'Gracious Thank-You' to all of you at The Pillars. One could not ask for more caring, compassionate, concerned, and professional people on all levels. My mother has had the 'experience' with Delmar Gardens, and the care at your facility beats them by a mile!
If it gets to the point where my mother requires a permanent facility, yours would be the one I choose! On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, you get a 20! I would like for this letter to be posted, so all members of the Staff can acknowledge my mother's Thank You!
Thanking you in advance,
Ms. Emma S. Frazier Durable Power of Attorney (The Pillars of North County Health & Rehabilitation Center – Florissant, MO)
To each and every staff member in every department at Jerseyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. More words cannot express our gratitude for the loving, patient and conscientious care giving to mom over the past 16 months at JNRC. The compassion showed on every face that came in contact with Minnie. You can be very proud of the way you supported Minnie and her family during the better days and the bad days, you will be remembered by our family for your devotion.
Perky Temple, Pat Adam, Sharron Bennett (Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center)
Dear Pam, Glenda, Linda, Linda, & Angie - I know that many hands ministered to my Mother during her stay at JNRC, but you 5 ladies are the ones I was priviledged to watch. No one could have been more loving and compassionate than you were. You treated her with the love and respect you would have given your own Mother, and allowed her to die with dignity. I am so grateful for all of you and the good work you do for all those who can no longer care for themselves. May God bless you richley as you continue to pour yourselves out for others. With thanks & appreciation, Terry Heisner "Dorothy's daughter" (Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center)
I am writing to compliment Jenny Stewart for extreme commitment and kindness. My father, Edgar Wayham was admitted from St. John's Mercy Medical Center on July 10, 2009. There was a great deal of confusion about his discharge from St. Louis which made our arrival very late, after normal working hours. In addition, Dad was very unhappy and irritated that Rehab was his destination instead of home. Jenny stayed to greet us and complete the admission.
I was crying and Dad was certain he would never go home again. Jenny spent time with all of us. She talked to Dad and made him feel comfortable by personalizing the center, acknowledging shared acquaintances, and assuring home that Rehab would make him strong and able to go home. Of course, Mom and I also felt better. I am so grateful that Jenny was our first contact with Jerseyville Rehab. She stayed very late on a Friday night to do her job with grace. Thank you, Bonnie Wayham Brennan (Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center)
